Every town here carries its own housing mix, because that is what decides who owns the disposal and who pays to fix it.

The quick answer

How an area is built decides who owns the disposal: in a house it is usually the occupant’s appliance, in a rented apartment usually the landlord’s. Every town page carries that split, and calls route on ZIP code to a contractor covering the area.

Why housing type is on every page

Because it answers the question that comes before the symptom. A disposal in a detached house is an owned appliance on a private drain; the same machine in an apartment is a building fixture on a shared stack. Same fault, different owner, different bill.
